CIEDA is an Intelligent Conversational Platform for Design and Architecture Students trained on information produced by students in the Interior Landscapes course, an elective course in the undergraduate Design program at the Universidad de los Andes. CIEDA's knowledge comes from the research and analysis exercise proposed by the course, whose main objective is the basic recognition of references from the history of Design, Art, and Architecture. CIEDA is an interface that uses generative artificial intelligence to engage in conversations exclusively on topics related to these disciplines.
To obtain sufficient data to train CIEDA, students must review different sources of information and cross-reference their findings to reach conclusions and derive lessons learned. This is achieved through the simultaneous review and analysis of audiovisual documents (films and TV series) and the work of influential figures in architecture and design. The audiovisual content is carefully selected, ensuring that it contains visual and compositional elements conducive to the study of diverse exponents, styles, movements, and avant-gardes in the history of human creation. Likewise, through the works of the designers and architects analyzed, the aim is to create a tapestry of diverse approaches to design and architecture.
As a deliverable, students produce synthetic videos that showcase their research and analysis processes and provide unique and in-depth insights from their individual conclusions and learnings. We have trained CIEDA with these videos. Therefore, its responses are derived solely from the information contained within them. We have decided that CIEDA will have restricted access to information beyond that provided for its training. This means that if you ask about architectural and design references that the students didn't include in their videos, you will most likely receive a response stating that their knowledge doesn't yet include the information you're looking for.
In addition to being able to interact with CIEDA, below you'll find shortcuts and descriptions of the videos created by students so you can review their work. Also, during your interaction with CIEDA, you'll have the opportunity to leave your comments on the conversation. If you find any errors or inaccuracies, please write them in the dialogue box CIEDA provides. This way, we can better train you and expand your knowledge base.
